Travel and the Writer
I spent last weekend visiting a friend in The Hague, which meant minimal work — though we did squeeze in some time because we both had deadlines. Mostly, it was a weekend of catching up, lots of gisting, and strolling around the town.
Now, the travel back? That was an adventure. The train developed mechanical issues, so we had to switch trains and literally run like Usain Bolt to catch the delayed train in Brussels. Got home about three hours late. Still, I’m grateful I got back to London the same day!
Not much work got done, but I did manage to get through 50% of my book, which has some great business lessons in it. So, still a win?
